Questions

Common questions

What is the Preservé technique?

The Preservé technique is an advanced breast augmentation method that prioritizes tissue preservation and natural results. Unlike traditional methods, it minimizes trauma to surrounding tissues, preserves the natural breast pocket, and uses the Motiva SmoothSilk implant for optimal integration with your body.

What type of implants are used?

We discuss Motiva Ergonomix implants with SmoothSilk surface technology during consultation. Review current manufacturer safety information and known implant-related risks with your surgeon before making a decision.

How long do the implants last?

Implants are not lifetime devices and may need replacement; timing varies by individual. Motiva provides a manufacturer warranty covering implant defects for up to 5 years. Separately, Ryan Plastic Surgery offers its own aftercare program with regular ultrasound follow-ups by Dr. Choi to monitor implant condition over time. Replacement may be needed if complications arise or if you desire a size change.

Motiva is a trademark of Establishment Labs. Individual results vary; implant choice is made with your surgeon.

All surgical procedures carry risks. Temporary pain, swelling, bruising and bleeding may occur, and infection or inflammatory reactions may occur in rare cases depending on individual health status. Results, recovery time and scar appearance vary by individual. Please follow your surgeon’s instructions before and after treatment and decide only after a full consultation.
